For most Malaysian workers, the greatest daily risk they face is not at the jobsite, but during their commute to/from the jobsite.

A study by Oxley et al (2013)1 investigated workplace death and injury claims made by Malaysia companies and found that 2/3 of all claims involved commuting to and from the workplace.

As Oxley et al note, data from the Social Security Organisation of Malaysia (SOCSO) reported two-thirds of the 50,000 annual workplace injuries occur during a worker’s commute to the workplace and of those, motorbike crashes are the majority (SOCSO, 2009).

Now What?
Workers’ daily commute from their home to the workplace represents that worker’s highest daily risk for death and injury. It is a given that companies with a strong safety culture support their staff while at the office. But, as most workplace injuries occur on the way to and from the office, and not at the office itself, what can companies do to support the safety of their staff during their daily motorbike commutes?

RideHawk™ was designed to support companies who want to keep their workers that commute via motorbike safe. RideHawk mitigates the risk to a company’s most valuable capital- it’s workers!

Join the RideHawk™ Revolution and offer your riders the commuting protection that only RideHawk can provide.
